You can use them in many ways to encourage language development:

  • Teach simple words such as “more,” “pop,” “blow,” “fly.” Repeat these target words often without expecting your child to imitate them. Focus on these words and try to reduce other commentary. Keep the activity fun—your child will naturally begin to express themselves.
  • Teach your child to blow bubbles. If they can’t blow through the wand directly, you can create a bubble, catch it on the wand, and bring it close to their mouth, encouraging them to blow. Blowing is a valuable exercise for the muscles used in speech and greatly supports expressive language.
  • Teach turn-taking. Play by taking turns: first you, then the child. This supports waiting, social interaction, and understanding the concept of “my turn – your turn.”

Such a simple game—yet full of linguistic and developmental benefits.
